Every table plan is a focal point for your wedding breakfast (your first meal together as husband & wife!) and is needed to help your guests easily navigate their way to their table. Having been a guest to many a wedding, it is an exciting part of the day finding out where we'll be sitting and of course by who...
If you're having your invitations from me, I usually design your table plan to match and perhaps bring in a variety of materials and a few extra embellishments to make it super special.
If you've had your invitations elsewhere, and would like me to make your table plan, I'll need to know your colour scheme and theme.. Either drop me an email or call after you've ordered and we can go from there. I will happily provide sketches and swatches to ensure your table plan is exactly every bit what you had in mind and more.
In order for your table plan to be complete, I'll need to know the layout of the room and the number of tables.. a birds eye view sketch or document is needed (including the top table) and then of course the names or numbers of the tables and the guest names accordingly. Most Brides choose to use full names on their table plans to mark the formal event (i.e. Sarah Smith as opposed to just Sarah).
Most venues have an easel to provide you with. If you're local to me then I have a couple to loan out or they can be purchased reasonably cheaply on places like eBay or you can rent one elsewhere..
The overall size of the table plans differ depending on the size of your wedding party. Though a typical size including a frame is between 50 x 70 and 60 x 90cm. I include a frame with all table plans (minus the glass) as I find it not only makes the piece look far more substantial but also prevents warping or damage in the post. I also sometimes use mirrors which look super elegant. If you need the printed parts to attach to your own mirror see here instead.
