Can you provide samples?
Yes. Some I will have in stock, other not, so bear with me putting one together. Especially if you want one in bespoke colours. All invitations are available as single samples. However if you want a sample bundle to get a idea of quality and various styles you can buy one here.
Can you provide a design in a different colour?
Yes of course. All designs come in endless combinations. Whatever your colour scheme is and theme is, I can help!
Can I have two different designs of invitations?
Yes! Many clients chose to have a different design for their evening guests. Generally they need less information and its an opportunity to save money by opting for a cheaper, simpler (matching) design for evening guests. Having said that, the greater quantity you buy of any single design, the cheaper they then inidividually become so its worth getting 2 quotes to consider which way to go.
How soon before the wedding should I place an order?
The sooner the better. I am taking bookings 10-12 months in advance. Even if you can't budget for your invitations just yet, have a chat with me get a samples and quotation.. I can pencil you into my schedule for a few months until you're ready.
What are the payment terms?
I work with most brides via email or messenger and when the client is ready I ask for at least 50% deposit on any invitations order to secure a production slot. Some couples prefer to pay in full as the budget or savings are already there.. If you would like to pay a 50% deposit instead please contact me to order via email instead. On completion of your invitation order you will be invoiced for the remaining 50%
For all other wedding stuff, payment needs to be in full.
How soon can I get my invitations?
When ordering invitations, check my availability calendar beforehand and bear in mind invitations are usually sent out anywhere between 4-7 months prior to your big day. You will receive an email from me after placing your order where we will discuss when you need them and go from there. Feel free to call me before placing an order if you need something urgent or to confirm a slot you need is available.
How soon can I get my order?
For other wedding stuff you can expect to receive your order within 21 days. You will receive an email / phonecall after placing an order to discuss what exactly you have ordered, your colours/theme etc and of course when you need it by.
Can you come visit me with samples?
I work with brides all over the UK.. I'm based in Lichfield, STAFFS so if you're not too far I can come visit you with samples, swatches and oodles of ideas :)
Do you have special offers or bundle deals?
Everything is handmade and takes a fair amount of time to put together so I can't really offer discounts, however if you want more items from me or a complete package I can certainly look at shaving a few pounds off. I do offer more purse friendly designs and I can suggest cheaper options if you have certain ideas but like most brides have expensive taste! When I order materials from wholesalers the more I purchase the cheaper they individually become, so these savings are passed onto you which is why invitation prices are dependant on quantity.
Should I order spare invitations?
Nearly ALL brides come back to me for extra invitations so yes I would recommend adding 5 or so extras onto your guest numbers just in case (if your venue capacity allows of course). It is important however that you don't order too many. After a deposit or payment is received, materials are purchased to reflect the quantity required on your order sheet, and clients are invoiced for the full number of invitations ordered regardless of needing less at the time of production.
Do you print the guest names or leave dotted lines?
Yes. I offer this on all invitations at an extra 20p per invitation. Check on the product listing that this is possible. Some couples prefer to write the names themselves so I can leave a dotted line so just let me know either way. You can also have then open/generic so no need for a mention of any names or a dotted line. I can make suggestions when it comes to content and offer advice when it comes to this stage.
Can I collect my order instead of sending in the post?
Yes of course. I am based in Lichfield Staffordshire, so if you're not too far from me I would likely drop off anyway or you are welcome to pick up from me.
When should I send my invitations?
I recommend sending out invitations anywhere between 6-10 months prior to your wedding. Save the dates between 10-24 months+ prior.
When should the RSVP date be?
Check with your venue on when they need final numbers, but usually I suggest anywhere between 4-6 weeks before your wedding day. Remember its also about having to budget for how many guests you need to pay for and get favours for etc also.
If I order a bunch of items as well as my invitations, how will it all work?
Firstly we would discuss your invitation design / wedding theme and I would produce a final invitation sample to confirm all the design colours/materials and that the client is happy. Invitation content (wording, finer detauls etc) is decieded upon closer to your production slot. Any additional wedding stuff will be made to match (and individually discussed via email/phone) in the months leading up to wedding. Some items such as place settings and table plan can only ben made once you have all your RSVPs.
Any T&C's I need to be aware of?
I would ask for a 50% deposit to place any order for invitations. The remaining 50% would be payable on completion and delivery of the wedding invitations. For other items, such as save the dates, table plans, signage etc. full payment is required although please ask if you would rather split the payment as I often do for my clients.
Please double check your guest numbers. Once a payment is received, materials are purchased for the customer to reflect the guest numbers stated above. You can always order extra invitations, but this may incur extra delivery charges. Also asking for fewer invitations once a deposit/payment is received will result in stock charges to the bride for surplus materials.
Substitutions for other items / designs after a payment/deposit is made are not allowed.
Please TRIPLE check your invitation e-proofs as once your approval is given to print, I cannot take responsibility for errors or typos. All text and content are checked by myself though being human means even I make mistakes! :¬)
Cancellation policy: Under no circumstances would Wedding Stuff offer a full or partial refund of any order in the event of a wedding cancellation. This includes all stationery whether invitations or additional accessories including table plans/post boxes etc.
Whilst, I am happy to 'pencil' brides into my schedule, until a deposit is paid I reserve the right to move your production slot without notice. Without a deposit your allocated slot will be shown as available.
