Frequently asked questions:
Can you provide samples?
Yes. Some I will have in stock, other not, so bear with me putting one together. Especially if you want one in bespoke colours. I don't charge for samples however I do ask that you return them if you decide to shop elsewhere.
Can you provide a design in a different colour?
Yes of course. Whatever your colour scheme is and preferred design. I can help!
How soon before the wedding should I place an order?
The sooner the better. I am taking bookings 10-12 months in advance. Even if you can't budget for your invitations just yet, have a chat with me get a samples and quotation.. I can pencil you into my schedule for a few months until you're ready.
What are the payment terms?
I ask for at least 50% deposit on any invitations order. Some couples prefer to pay in full as the budget/savings are there.. If you would like to pay a deposit instead please enter word DEPOSIT into the checkout box. On completion of your invitation order you will be invoiced for the remaining 50%
For all other wedding stuff, payment needs to be in full.
How soon can I get my invitations?
When ordering invitations, check my availability calendar beforehand and bear in mind invitations are usually sent out anywhere between 4-7 months prior to your big day. You will receive an email from me after placing your order where we will discuss when you need them and go from there. Feel free to call me before placing an order if you need something urgent or to confirm a slot you need is available.
How soon can I get my order?
For other wedding stuff you can expect to receive your order within 21 days. You will receive an email / phonecall after placing an order to discuss what exactly you have ordered, your colours/theme etc and of course when you need it by.
Can you come visit me with samples?
I work with brides all over the UK.. I'm based in Tamworth, STAFFS so if you're not too far I can come visit you with samples, swatches and oodles of ideas :)
Do you have special offers or bundle deals?
Unfortunately no, everything is handmade and takes time to put together so I can't offer discounts. I do offer more purse friendly designs though. Also when I order materials from wholesalers the more I purchase the cheaper they individually become, so these savings are passed onto you which is why invitation prices are dependant on quantity
Should I order spare invitations?
90% of brides come back to me for extra invitations so yes I would add an extra 2-5 onto your guest numbers just in case (if your venue capacity allows of course). IT IS IMPORTANT HOWEVER THAT YOU DON'T ORDER TOO MANY; AFTER A DEPOSIT IS PLACED BASED ON X QUANTITY OF INVITES AND FEWER ARE THEN NEEDED, THE BRIDE WILL BE CHARGED TO COVER THE COSTS OF EXCESS MATERIALS (MINUS PRODUCTION CHARGES). YOU CAN ALWAYS ORDER MORE AT A LATER STAGE.. AFTER A DEPOSIT IS PLACED, MATERIALS ARE ORDERED AND STORED BASED ON THE REQUESTED NUMBER OF INVITATIONS.
Do you print the guest names or leave dotted lines?
Yes. I offer this on most designs as standard and I do not charge extra for this. Check on the product listing that this is possible. Some couples prefer to write the names themselves however so just let me know either way.
Can I collect my order instead of sending in the post?
Yes of course. I am based in Tamworth STAFFS, if you're not too far from me I would likely drop off anyway or you are welcome to pick up from me.
When should I send my invitations?
I recommend sending out invitations anywhere between 4-7months prior to your wedding. Save the dates between 8-12months+ prior.
When should the RSVP date be?
Check with your venue but usually anywhere between 4-6 weeks before your wedding day.
If I order a bunch of items as well as my invitations, how will it all work?
Firstly we would discuss your invitation design / wedding theme and I would then produce a final invitation sample to confirm all the details and that the bride is happy. The rest of your wedding stuff will be made to match (and individually discussed via email/phone) and I will provide photos / sketches of your item designs in the months leading up to wedding. Some items such as place settings and table plan can only ben made once you have all your RSVPs.
Any T&C's I need to be aware of?
If after placing your deposit on an agreed order of X invitations you decide you need fewer invitations, you will still be invoiced for the original order quantity (less production charges). After a deposit is made, I always order in all the materials required for that specific bride, in bespoke cuts and colours, and any materials I acquire cannot be returned to wholesalers. It is therefore the customer's responsibility to ensure they order the correct quantity. You can always order more at a later date.
After completion of your wedding invitation order you will be invoiced for the remaining balance (if applicable - all brides are given the option to pay 50% deposit, see above for more info) which is payable within 5 working days. All brides will be made aware when to expect their deliveries.
Whilst, I am happy to 'pencil' brides into my schedule, until a deposit is paid I reserve the right to move your production slot without notice. Without a deposit your allocated slot will be shown as available.
Lastly, it is the customers responsibility to ensure there are no spelling mistakes on their invitation artwork proofs.
